On January 23rd Alessandro Biffignandi passed away. Biffignandi was one of the biggest names in fumetti art. He was also known for his Italian movie poster illustrations and cover art for the British Fleetway action and war comics. Having communicated with him by email in recent years I found him him to be a shy but sweet and friendly man. He was still a masterful painter in his 80's doing commissions for friends and collectors. Many of us feel like we've lost a friend.
