| This is the cover to Oltretomba Gigante #81 (1980). Further down is source material used by the artist, Otello Mauro Innocenti, to create this cover art. It is a photo by the infamous photographer Irina Ionesco. Fumetti artists frequently used found source materials for their cover art which resulted in so many pop culture references from the obscure to the super famous. I'm curious to know if the woman in the photo is Irina herself since she often modeled for herself and it does bear a resemblance to her. Anyone know? |  |
